Leadership Team

Paul Hubinsky -
Interim Director of Residence Life

Paul has served as a Senior Assistant Director after joining the team at Northwestern in August 2011 until recently when he was named the Interim Director of Residence Life. He supervises half of the Residence Director staff. He also coordinates professional staff training and development, along with completing operational functions. Originally from Michigan, Paul earned his B.S. from Central Michigan University and M.Ed. in College Student Affairs Leadership from Grand Valley State University. He has been actively involved in the Great Lakes Association of College and University Housing Officers (GLACUHO) for 15 years and currently serves on the Board of Directors as the President. In June 2016, Paul will be a proud graduate of Northwestern's Learning & Organizational Change masters degree program.

Cassie Eskridge -
Senior Assistant Director

Cassie Eskridge currently serves as one of the Senior Assistant Directors in Residence Life, supervising four of the Residence Directors (GLASS, BM03, WASH, & SHARC). In her role she oversees the Residential Experience Model implemented by the Resident Assistants and professional staff selection. Cassie grew up outside of Dallas, Texas, and then went to Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa, where she earned a Bachelor's in Psychology. That's where she first cultivated a passion for student affairs and decided to attend graduate school. She attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, where she earned a Master's in Educational Administration and Leadership with a specialization in Student Affairs. Cassie has also worked in Residence Life at California State University, Sacramento and Texas A&M University as a professional. In addition to her responsibilities in Residence Life, she serves as a training facilitator for Step Up! and as a member of the Bias Incident Response Team (BIRT).

Tiffany Gonzales -
Assistant Director

Tiffany Gonzales is an Assistant Director working primarily with student staff selection and training. Originally from the Chicago area, she received her B.A. in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Media, and her M.S.Ed.in Higher Education Administration, both from Northern Illinois University. Tiffany previously served as an Area Coordinator for three years in the Foster-Walker Complex. Before coming to Northwestern, she was a Residence Hall Director at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. In addition to that, Tiffany is actively involved in the Great Lake Association of College and University Housing Officers, currently serving as the Contemporary Issues Committee Chair. Her favorite parts about Northwestern include working with dedicated students and staff who make NU home and the beautiful campus.
Residence Directors

Tenisia Adams -
Foster Walker Complex

Tenisia Adams is a new RD overseeing the Foster Walker Residential Complex. Tenisia received her Master’s Degree from Western Illinois University where she studied College Student Personnel. Tenisia also received her Bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University in English. Tenisia is originally from Chicago, IL and is excited to be a part of the Wildcat community!

Derek Murakami
GLASS Area

Derek Murakami joined the Residential Services team in July 2013, and currently serves as the Residence Director for GLASS. Born and raised in Southern California, Derek moved to Colorado to earn both his B.A. in Social Work and M.S. in Student Affairs in Higher Education at Colorado State University. Prior to Northwestern, Derek had three years of professional experience serving as a Resident Director at Western Washington University.

Janelle Love -

Janelle received her B.S. in Psychology from Ball State University and completed her M.S. in College Student Personnel Administration from Illinois State University. Janelle also has previous professional RD experience from her time at Washington State University. Since becoming a Wildcat, Janelle has enjoyed working with all three of our facility/community types; serving as a liaison with Multicultural Student Affairs; advising the Residence Hall Association; and getting involved with professional organizations such as NASPA. Currently, she is the GAP Liaison for the New Professionals and Graduate Student Knowledge Community within Region IV-E, as well as the incoming Region IV-E co-chair for the African-American Knowledge Community.

Dan Barker -
WASH Area

Dan Barker joined the Residential Services team in July 2013, and currently serves as the Residence Director for WASH (Willard and the Small Houses). Dan is originally from Wisconsin and received his B.S. in Natural Science with an emphasis in Earth Science from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He received his M.S. in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Missouri State University. Previously, while Dan was working on his Masters, he served as an Assistant Hall Director at Missouri State University. Dan has enjoyed many professional experiences while at Northwestern, including advising the Residence Hall Association, serving as a Summer Conferences RD, and chairing a department committee.

Sarah Gregory
BM03 Area

Sarah Gregory is the Residence Director for the Bobb-McCulloch and 2303 Sheridan communities. Sarah is originally from middle Tennessee, and she graduated from The University of Tennessee with her B.A. in American Studies. Following graduation, Sarah pursued a Masters in College Student Development at Appalachian State University. During her time at Appalachian State, Sarah worked as a graduate Residence Director, and she interned in the Office of Student Conduct. Her areas of interest include assessing student learning outcomes, working alongside student leaders, and creating safe and inclusive campus communities. In her free time, Sarah enjoys finding new hiking trails, exploring the local community, and baking. She is very excited to be at Northwestern University, and she looks forward to joining the Wildcat family!

Dan Amato -
SHARC Area​

Dan Amato currently serves as the Residence Director for theSHARC area. He was born and raised in the Chicagoland area as a northsider. Dan completed his undergraduate studies at DePaul University in Biological Sciences before moving on to Eastern Illinois University, where he obtained his Master’s in Student Affairs. In his time at EIU, Dan served in an assistantship as an Associate Residence Director.

Erin Boyce-
Graduate Housing
{McManus, Engelhart, Seabury Grad}
Erin is the Residence Director for Graduate Housing serving the Engelhart, McManus and Seabury communities. Erin works with the 9 Graduate Housing Assistants in the department to develop an inclusive and welcoming community for residential graduate students, their partners and families. Erin's favorite part of her job is attending community programs in her area and seeing what new and exciting events her staff can come up with. Erin grew up in Wellesley Massachusetts, a suburb west of Boston, and graduated with her B.A. in Psychology from Boston College. Following graduation, Erin continued on at BC to pursue a Masters in Higher Education Administration. While in graduate school, she worked in Residential Life as a graduate staff assistant and was a graduate assistant in the Student Programs Office advising the undergraduate government.

Joe O'Geen-
J1F Area

Joe is originally from Atlanta, GA where he received his B.S. in Environmental Studies with a minor in Spanish from Emory University. After working at Emory University as a Hall Director and Conference Coordinator, he moved on to pursue his M.S. in Higher Education Student Affairs from Florida State University. Prior to becoming a Wildcat, Joe worked at the University of Maine as a Community Coordinator. His areas of interest include assessing student learning outcomes and the student experience, sustainability, and working with diverse and engaged student populations. Outside of work you’ll find Joe running along the lake, spending time with his dog, cooking, or exploring new restaurants.

Trebby Ellington -

Trebby Ellington is originally from Terre Haute, IN. She did her undergraduate studies at Indiana University Bloomington. She is currently a first year grad student in Loyola’s Higher Education M.Ed. program. She works as the Assistant Residence Director for the WASH area!

Timothy Mays -
J1F Area

Timothy Mays is originally from Pittsburg, CA. He did his undergraduate work in Sociology at California State University before landing in the Chicagoland area where he is a second year graduate student in the Higher Education program at Loyola University. He is working as the Assistant Residence Director for the J1F Area.

Kathryn Melendez -
GLASS Area

Kathryn Melendez is a Northwestern graduate student and Assistant Resident Director for the Lindgren, Ayers CCI, Slivka, and Sargent residences. She comes to us from Fayetteville, NC and enjoys practicing yoga and making pottery. She is very excited to be here in Evanston working with Northwestern's incredible students. Go 'cats!
